Current Funding Needs

It’d be a great birthday present, as my birthday is also in September 😉

I have set up a new funding site for crowd-sourcing the remaining items needed to deliver this album by 5/1/2020. I chose LaunchPad – through Artist Share – because they have the most proven track record in the music business for exposure and raising funds, and to date, their site has raised money for 32 Grammy-nominated projects and 11 wins out of those, so as they say, go where others like you dwell. They have had excellent success.

The whole idea of crowdsourcing for projects like this is hardly new, and there are some artists – big artists – who crowdsource their production funds. It’s a great idea for raising the necessary capital for projects just like this.

The items left include CD pressings for shows and marketing items, some help in the marketing department via a few companies that can help spread the word, copyright and ISRC numbers as well as the ability to form my own label for distribution, distribution costs, and payment to the few guest artists that helped on “With Love” and scattered throughout the rest of the landscape for one of them. It totals just under $5K, and I’m at 2% donated today.

I have put together a video which is the first in a series, but it introduces the project in an interview style, with some music in between questions. It will be altered a bit once I record the string section at the end of the month (August 31) and I plan on filming that a bit and hopefully, because of recent development on that recording session, in particular, we might have some news coverage. This video is 10 minutes long and gives a bit more detailed of the background to some of the project’s history and sounds. WORTH THE WAIT FUNDRAISER

 

I’m very honored at the donations that have come in so far – this is fulfilling a dream that I’ve had for many years on a personal level, and has led to the creation of my own Label (bootertunes) that will search for other unique artists in the future that need to express their journeys as well. There IS future benefit for many should you decide to contribute to the project plus there are some pretty cool perks that come with it too, different perks at different levels. I may never get another chance to do this and am so grateful to have a good network of people that understand what this project has meant to me.
